Why MASONAL Exists

We started as a small community fund and grew into a foundation that has stood beside tens of thousands of families through their hardest moments.

Our Story

Built From a Single Hospital Waiting Room

MASONAL began in 2011 when a group of neighbors pooled savings to cover a child's surgery bill after a local family was turned away for lack of funds. That single act of solidarity became a registered assistance fund within a year, and a full foundation within five.

Today MASONAL operates across 112 communities, but the founding instinct hasn't changed: when someone falls through the cracks of an already-stretched system, we exist to catch them — with dignity, speed, and follow-through.

To fight poverty and support vulnerable communities by providing direct financial assistance for medical care, education, daily living, and emergencies — and by treating every applicant with the dignity their circumstances deserve.
